Errol Milner Clifford 2006-2009

Errol Milner Clifford was born with a significant heart defect and a cognitive disability that prevented him from walking or talking. As we grieved the child we had anticipated, Errol’s full-bodied smile and irrepressible laugh turned our sorrow into joy, and taught us that many of the best things in life are unexpected. Inspired by Errol’s delightful spirit, friends, family, and neighbors rallied to support our family’s significant emotional, physical, and financial needs, through countless acts of selfless generosity. When Errol’s courageous heart finally failed him on December 23, 2009 we were left numb with grief. In these dark hours we listen hopefully for the echoes of Errol’s brilliant laugh. This blog is the story (starting from present and working back to Errol's birth) of the life and times of the amazing Errol Clifford.

Birthday

Errol's birthday is Monday, March 8.
He would have been four.
We miss our sweet boy so much.
His mother took this picture of him last year on his birthday.
We will always remember Errol at age three.
Smiling.
Joyful.
Full of life.

Your precious boy...our family is thinking of all of you. I can't tell you how much Errol and your family has and continues to be a source of strength for us.

Sincerely,
Kenta

Happy Birthday Errol! You share a day with my sweet Henry. Wilson still talks about you and lists you whenever a friend or family member asks about the things he loves at school. So glad to see your beautiful face this morning!

In my way out of the Children's Center I stopped, as I usually do, to look at the picture of Jonathan and Errol. Today, in his special day, we miss him even more.

We love you,

Paul and Theresa

Errol, I hope you ate lots of cake.. danced, went down a big slide, swam in a pond and sang. In that other place we move onto when we are free from our bodies, I am hoping you find much peace and laugher.

I continue to hold you all close to my heart and dream of days when memories are a little less painful and more full of peace.
