Errol Milner Clifford 2006-2009

Errol Milner Clifford was born with a significant heart defect and a cognitive disability that prevented him from walking or talking. As we grieved the child we had anticipated, Errol’s full-bodied smile and irrepressible laugh turned our sorrow into joy, and taught us that many of the best things in life are unexpected. Inspired by Errol’s delightful spirit, friends, family, and neighbors rallied to support our family’s significant emotional, physical, and financial needs, through countless acts of selfless generosity. When Errol’s courageous heart finally failed him on December 23, 2009 we were left numb with grief. In these dark hours we listen hopefully for the echoes of Errol’s brilliant laugh. This blog is the story (starting from present and working back to Errol's birth) of the life and times of the amazing Errol Clifford.

Something's Got to Change

Citizens,

Check out this beautiful story that our wonderful friend David Ford has put together with friends Josh and Eric from the UNCSA film school.

Cary and I have been incredibly fortunate to have our wonderful community supporting us in our time of need. Not everyone is as lucky as us, and our country needs health reform now.

If you live in the United States let your U.S. Senator or U.S. House Rep know what you think about health care reform. And if you like this video please share it with others.

Thanks David, and thanks to all of you!

Mr.Milner! This is Elizabeth Clore, a long time ago career center student of yours. This evening I wondered, "how is that Mr. Milner?" I ended up coming across this amazing story of you and your lovely wife and your sons. It is absolutely inspiring to see your resilience and the love and support you all have fostered. I wish I could meet Errol. I'm in Boston now, being a day-job scientist. (I'm a technician in a Bipolar laboratory.) So if you are ever in the area and need a place to stay or advice about where to get good beer, please let me know! All the best, Liz.
